Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-04-11 · Version 1.0 · signalbench.io
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your access to and use of SignalBench ("the Service"), operated by SignalBench ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
2. Who can use SignalBench
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract.
- You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms, all applicable laws, and the advertising policies of platforms we integrate with (Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads).
- One account per individual unless we authorize team access in writing.
3. Accounts and authentication
We use Google OAuth to sign you in. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your SignalBench account, notify us immediately at security@signalbench.io.
4. What the Service does
SignalBench helps you validate startup ideas by generating campaign assets (headlines, descriptions, keywords, landing pages), running or simulating ad campaigns, and reporting demand signals. We use third-party AI providers (currently Google Gemini) to generate content and analyze results.
AI-generated content disclosure
Content produced by the Service — including headlines, ad copy, landing page text, and validation verdicts — is generated in whole or in part by large language models. AI output can be inaccurate, biased, or reflect training data that is not suitable for your use case. You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing it, running it as an ad, or relying on it for business decisions.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the startup ideas, descriptions, and other material you submit ("User Content"). By using the Service you grant SignalBench a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and display your User Content to operate the Service and improve our models and features.
You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not infringe third-party rights, does not contain personal data you are not authorized to share, and does not violate applicable law.
6. Leads collected from landing pages
When you launch a landing page via SignalBench, visitors may submit their email addresses and optional information through our lead capture form. You agree that:
- You are the data controller for leads collected through your landing pages.
- You will only use lead information for the purpose disclosed to visitors (typically: notification about your product's launch).
- You will comply with all applicable privacy, marketing, and anti-spam laws (including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and state equivalents).
- SignalBench acts as your data processor for the limited purpose of storing and displaying leads within your account.
7. Advertising platform integrations
SignalBench integrates with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads via each platform's official API. When you connect your ad account you authorize SignalBench to act on your behalf within the scope you grant. You remain bound by each platform's own terms, ad policies, and community guidelines. We will not launch campaigns that violate those policies, and we reserve the right to refuse or suspend any experiment we believe puts our platform access at risk.
8. Prohibited uses
- Testing or promoting products prohibited by advertising platforms (firearms, adult content, deceptive schemes, etc.).
- Impersonating another person, brand, or company.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract our source code or models.
- Automated scraping, rate-limit evasion, or denial-of-service behavior.
- Using the Service to generate content that is illegal, harassing, discriminatory, or violates third-party IP.
9. Fees and billing
SignalBench offers paid subscriptions. Prices, included credits, and usage limits will be displayed at the point of purchase. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Ad spend charged by third-party advertising platforms is paid by you directly to those platforms, not to SignalBench, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. See our Data Deletion page for the exact steps. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, fraudulent behavior, or if we reasonably believe your continued use creates risk to us or other users. On termination, we will delete or anonymize your User Content subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.
11. Warranties and disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that validation verdicts, projected results, or AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your business.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SignalBench, its affiliates, and its employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability under these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid SignalBench in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany, except where local consumer protection law gives you rights to bring a claim in your country of residence.
